Curriculum Vitae

1966-  born in Rome

1987 - BA, Bennington college, Bennington, VT

From 1987 until 1995 - lived in Rome, Paris, New York, London and Lagos, working as an artist, and assistant to artists (Eduardo Arroyo in Paris, David Bowes and Tom Sachs in New York, Giuseppe Gallo, Mario Schifano, in Rome, Heinrich Nicolaus in Greve,in Chianti ).

!989 - In London she collaborated with Arc Group working on site specific installations.

1992 _In Nigeria she studied traditional techniques (weaving, sculpture) at the Zaria Art school, and lived in Lagos in Fela Kuti’s house (Kalakuta republic) and first became in contact with the Yoruba pantheon of divinities, which will become a passion and inspiration. In 2004 she is initiated into the secrets of Yemaya in Havana, Cuba.

On returning full time to Rome in 1995 she also returned to the studio of her father, architect Luigi Pellegrin. A studio that was open and productive 17 hours a day, and in which she grew up as a child, the ‘womb’ that gave birth to Chiara’s and her brother’s ( Paolo Pellegrin, photographer) passion in art.
In the past years she has been working also as an interior designer in Rome and New York.
Her works are in important private collections.
